The Community Connect Project is funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability Integration, and Youth under its International Protection Integration Fund 2022 (IPIF) to support community actions and initiatives which promote the integration of International Protection Applicants in Ireland.
The project matches 19 – 25-year-old male international protection applicants living in direct provision with local volunteer Mentors to facilitate their integration into resident communities across Counties Meath, Monaghan, and Louth.
Participants connect with their fellow community members, learn new skills, and share their expertise, while contributing positively to their neighbourhoods through various events, workshops, and voluntary activities.
