PRESS RELEASE: Cultúr Migrant Centre Hosts Job and Education Fair in Navan, Empowering the Community.

Navan, 28 September 2023  

Cultúr Migrant Centre hosted its annual Job and Education Fair on September 28, 2023. The event which was held at the New Grange Hotel in Navan attracted over 115 attendees, more than 20 employers and 7 educational service providers.

The fair convened  20 one-to-one CV clinics including workshops on CV preparation and interview skills to equip job seekers with tools to help them stand out in the job market.

The Job and Education Fair is supported by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF+Employment, Inclusion, Skills & Training (‘EIST’) Programme from 2021-2027. It aims to bridge the gap between employers, education providers, and individuals seeking new career opportunities.

The project also serves as a platform for networking, learning, and skill enhancement, fostering a dynamic environment that encourages personal and professional growth.

“We are thrilled with the outcome of our Job and Education Fair,” said Tinu Achioya, the Program Manager at Cultur Migrant Centre.

“The event provided a vibrant platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to connect with employers and education services. Through workshops and CV clinics, we aimed to equip job seekers with the necessary skills and resources to excel in their careers. We are proud to have made a difference in the lives of our community members.” She continued.

Deirdre Dowling, Cultúr’s Job Coach was also upbeat and described the event as ‘’a fantastic day for job seekers, employers and educational institutions who all came together to create a very friendly and encouraging environment’’.
